Lead singer Scott Mclaughlin went looking for local players through a Craigs List ad in 2015 and ended up with so much more. The result was the Scotty Mac Band which quickly turned into a band with regional success and opening slots for national touring acts like Brett Young, Tyler Farr, Phil Vassar, Lee Brice and Chase Rice. Placement at festivals around the country including Night in the Country, Country fan Fest, Oregon Jamboree, Country Thunder, Coastal Country Jam among others followed. The band can be found regularly playing at the likes of Ole Red on Broadway in Nashville as well as venues throughout the West Coast.

Singer and songwriter Scott McLaughlin was raised in a small, Southern California town surrounded by dairy farms, ranches and rodeos. He spent his days listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band on the radio. His passion for country took off like a rocket after receiving his first guitar as a gift from his father at age 13. Heavily influenced by Garth Brooks and Fleetwood Mac, Scott began writing and perform his own music in high school. Fronting his self-titled band, The Scotty Mac Band, Scott released his first EP, Messin’ Around in 2016, and his sophomore EP called Love In A Truck in 2018, both stylistically blends the pop hooks and driving sound of contemporary country while retaining the story telling and instrumentation of the classic country roots he grew up on. His music is heavily influenced by artists like Luke Bryan, Justin Moore, Brad Paisley, and Blake Shelton.
